On February 11, 2014, the Probation Office Drochia in cooperation with the Police Inspectorate held an informative and educational activity entitled “Convicted in freedom”. This activity was attended by the secondary school’s teachers and pupils of the VII – IX classes from Drochia city.
The undertaken activity aimed to inform children about the prevention of juvenile delinquency and reduction crime among minors. During the lesson, the pupils had the opportunity to learn about the principles of probation, counseling, support and supervision of persons in conflict with the law. Within this activity, the pupils were informed on how the entourage influences on them, main causes underlying the committing of the facts that contravene the laws in force and their consequences.
Probation counselors have presented to pupils the ways of solving impersonal conflicts, and on people they have to appeal to when such a situation occurs (teachers, parents and school psychologist). The pupils realized the importance of knowing the adults (parents, relatives, teachers, etc.), with whom and how they spend their leisure time and to opt for a healthy and open communication based on confidence.
