On February 26th, 2014, probation counselors of the Probation Office Rezina organized and conducted a visit for pupils from "Alexandru cel Bun" School, to the No. 17 Penitentiary of Rezina city.
The Probation Office Rezina in collaboration with the Department of Penitentiary Institutions assured the entrance to the penitentiary. The purpose of this visit was to prevent juvenile delinquency and child victimization.
The activity has proven to be a success. The both parties have found openness to dialogue, and during the meeting the detainees shared to pupils their criminal experience, whilst putting emphasis on how it has affected their lives. The visit increased awareness of pupils on the consequences of committing offenses.
The penitentiary No.17 has taken appropriate security measures during the visit.
