On Friday, March 21, 2014, within the court of Taraclia was held a meeting organized by the Probation Office entitled "The pre-sentence report of psychosocial assessment of personality. The purpose and importance of its establishment." The meeting was attended by the Court Chairman, the prosecutor, head of criminal prosecution Section of the police Inspectorate and counselors of the Probation Office of Taraclia.
The event aimed to improve cooperation between law enforcement bodies and probation office Taraclia in terms of pre-sentence probation. During the meeting were discussed issues concerning the skills of the probation counselor at the pre-sentence stage, the necessity of preparation and role of the pre-sentence report, the evaluation process and determining the re-offending risk.
Also, the participants discussed issues concerning cooperation between the probation service, prosecution and courts, the encountered difficulties and their resolution. At the end of the meeting, the participants unanimously opted for a more efficient and productive cooperation between law enforcement bodies and probation at the pre-sentence stage.
