On 4th of December 2014, the probation counsellors from the Bureau of Taraclia held a round table inside of the Penitentiary No. 1, entitled "Solutions for the social reintegration of the prisoners".
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Department of Social Assistance and Family Protection, Employment Agency, the National Health Insurance and the Civil Status Office, the City Hall, the Inspectorate police and the military centre.
The meeting aimed to inform the prisoners about the employment after release, identifying the individual employment, the arrangements for granting and withdrawing of the citizenship, issue of the marital status, the military service record issuance.
The probation counsellor, Tatiana NECHIT, informed the convicts on the social rehabilitation centre from Floresti city, the collaboration of the Probation Offices with various institutions and organizations, behaviour correction program "Motivation for change". The prisoners addressed various questions facing each after release from prison: job placement and setting a place to live.
Therewith, the prisoners have received training from the probation Bureau specialists on actions to be taken after release from prison and the prisoners were given informative materials about the probation activity.
We note that such activities are organized regularly within the Penitentiary. 1, the inmates are counselled to quit after release from anti-social behaviour, and the government support is needed for their reintegration into the society and adopt a pro-social lifestyle.
