\"Social reintegration of persons released from detention\" - topic discussed within the meeting organized at the No. 1 Penitentiary - Taraclia

On 26^th February 2015, the counsellors of the Probation Office Taraclia in common with the No. 1 Penitentiary held a meeting entitled "Social reintegration of inmates. Prospects and problems of preparing the inmates for release from prison and after release"

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the detainees and to counsel the convicts in order to reintegrate in family and community upon release from prison.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Educational, Psychological and Social Assistance Service of the Penitentiary, the representatives of the Social Assistance and Family Protection Directorate of Taraclia and the representatives of the Civil Status Office.

During the meeting, the inmates found out about the possibilities to obtain information on issuing of the identity papers and issue of the civil status certificates, documents required for registration of birth and marriage as well as the vacancies in the labour market of the Republic of Moldova.

At the end of the meeting, the inmates were informed about governmental and non - governmental organizations that can assist the inmates to overcome the difficulties they face.
