On 28th January 2016, the counsellors of the Probation Office Nisporeni deployed an informative lesson on "Prevention of the delinquent behaviour among children. Probation regarding the juveniles". The activity was organized within "M. Eminescu" High School from Nisporeni for 24 pupils of the IXth class. The lesson was aimed at informing the pupils about the factors that favour the development of juvenile delinquency and the prevention measures of committing antisocial acts. At the same time, children were informed about the most common criminal and contravention acts likely encountered at school and the way how the pupils can be held liable over in terms of criminal and contravention acts, even if they are juveniles.
Eudochia Munteanu, counsellor of the Probation Office Nisporeni reported that - "the developed activity was a good opportunity to inform the pupils on the probation activity. It is very important that the children to be informed regarding the legal provisions in terms of criminal liability because in this way it prevents the occurrence of some punishable by law acts. We are always open to such collaborations because I`m sure that the information received during these lessons will be disseminated by children in the family and community, and it will emphasize a healthy social environment."
We note that by organizing such informative activities among pupils, the probation counsellors` aim was to reduce violence within school, antisocial behaviour, developing dialogue with them in order to identify the issues they face and to identify the possible solutions for their elimination.
