Protection of the child in contact with the justice system - training workshop for institutions involved in promoting and protecting children s rights

On 24^th November 2015, Terre des hommes Moldova jointly with the District Council from Riscani Nord conducted a training workshop entitled "Inter-sector cooperation on the protection of the child in contact with the justice system." The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Probation Office Riscani Nord, local public government, Directorate for Social Assistance and Family Protection, social assistants, teachers, physicians, police and prosecution representatives. The participants discussed the aspects of working procedure with children in conflict with the law and developed the local plan on child protection in contact with the justice system. There were also examined actual cases from social vulnerable families, children who may be involved in contact with the law.

During the meeting, the counselor from the Probation Office Riscani Nord presented the results that have been obtained in respect of juveniles and the importance of maintaining the partnerships with the institutions whose services are needed to prevent and combat juvenile delinquency.
